what else eyh? actually i don't know much about laptops. i wanted a new one because my old one is erm... erm... really old! it was one of those bulky old acer laptop. i need a new one because now that i'm into video editing, i need a lappy that can hold my editing softwares, n gosh, how heavy they are. 


just for the records, i didn't pay a penny for this laptop. All thanks to my caring and understanding daddy, Encik Azami for buying me this laptop. thank you daddy! u noe i love u. huhu. before, it did came across my mind to buy my own laptop, but after calculating my budget, i dont think i will have enough. So, i tried my luck by asking my mum about it, and she asked my dad, and voila! So folks, there's no harm in asking (eventhough it took me ages to get the words out!)


So yesterday, 15th March 2011, me and faizal went to Low Yatt and meet up with dad there, and started our laptop hunt. We had no idea what brand to look for, just that it needs to fulfil my specs. After asking around, most shops recommend Asus to us. (i never heard of the brand) haha, told u i'm a noob in laptops. from shop to shop, i follow my dad's behind. He did all the talking. i just stand beside him looking boring coz i didn't understand what he was talking about. i heard "AMD, Phenom, i3,i5, Radeon, bla bla bla" and all other nonsense. After a while, i understand that dad doesn't like AMD because "laptop cepat panas". that's what he said anyway to the seller who recommended him to buy ASUS with AMD.  


After a few rounds, dad finally found the best laptop for me (which is this). The seller put the price at RM2000. to me, i think it's a lil bit too expensive. But, dad is just too tired to search elsewhere. So, he decided to buy that one. He asked the seller, where the ATMs are so he can cash out some money, and the seller asked his assistant to lead dad. Meanwhile, Faizal was surveying the same model of ASUS at nearby shop. He told me that he can get the same one at the price of RM1800! So, i called dad straight away to stop him from buying. And guess what? Dad, went back to the first shop and told the seller "Sorry, i tak jadi beli laptop u, i ade emergency. kene balik rumah cepat". and the seller replied " ye ke? ke anak u dapat deal lagi murah?". hahahhaha.. then we left and went for our lunch. During lunch, dad said we will search some more for my laptop. Now that we know what brand and model we want, it's easier. And this time we split up, me and dad, faizal on his own. After almost an hour of search, we met up again. And we compare the prices that we got. Mostly, RM1800 and RM1850 and above. We were discussing near a shop that can give us RM1799 for the laptop. Then we jet him a lil bit more, and finally he gave us RM1780, and that was his final offer. I liked that price :). Not too expensive. 


So in the end, dad bought it for me. What i like most is that, the seller has installed mostly everything for me, plus ADOBE AFTER EFFECTS!!! yeaaaayyy!!! i've been wanting the software for agessss! now i finally have it in my own laptop!


All in all, i like my new lappy. It's sooooooooooo me :DDD. haha

Anwar Hadi: The Next Youtube Phenomenon

Have u ever heard of the name before? NAY? Gosh, where have you been? haha. frankly, i just knew him few hours ago. lol. For those who tak kenal lagi this bloke, can check his youtube channel, by clicking his name >> IniAnwarHadi. So, why am i posting an entry bout this bloke? I hardly know him.Here's why.

1. His videos are very interesting and funny
2. I like his personality.
3. He's damn fluent in English
4. He has high confidence and self esteem to be a vlogger. (If u know me, then u'll know that i effin respect these kinda ppl)
5. I think that's all i can think of for now.

After i watched all his 10 vids (that all so far that he has posted), i wanted to learn more about him. Like, where he is from, how old he is, how did he get so fluent? has he been overseas before, coz he definitely sounds like a native speaker. So, i did a lil research bout this bloke, and most of the answers, i found from his formspring. teehee :P

I am amazed that he learnt his English just fr0m watching tv sh0ws. I als0 watched english tv sh0ws when i ws little, but my English is n0t as fluent! **Curses. In fact, it's getting rustier by day, c0z i hardly practice it now. I d0n't have any0ne t0 talk with. It's killing me inside, and im actually n0t 0verreacting. It kills me to find 0ut that my English is getting w0rse. My v0cab is n0t expanding, and my grammar is getting w0rse. i hate that this is happening t0 me. s0b.s0b.

While i was d0ing my research b0ut the bloke, i have f0und an0ther vl0gger, Maria Elena, or Sh0rtnap. (www.peliks.blogspot.com) She als0 p0sts vids in y0utube talking b0ut everyday t0pics that ain't t00 heavy. But i w0nder why her fans is n0t as many as Anwar's. They b0th have like the same "theme" f0r their p0sts. And if i'm n0t mistaken, Maria has been a vl0gger wayyy bef0re Anwar has. Well, that's n0t imp0rtant anyway. B0tt0m line is, i respect these pe0ple f0r having the c0urage t0 be vl0ggers and d0n't care when s0me haters criticize them. T0 me th0se criticizers are narr0w minded pe0ple wh0 can't accept that the w0rld is changing f0r the better 0f mankind. When are they g0ing t0 realize that the w0rld is a very dynamic place. Dunia dah maju, zaman dah berubah.

Personally i think Kabir Bhatia has brilliantly and creatively direct this 13 episodes drama. So far only 2 eps have been aired, it they never failed to move me. The first ep was very sad and tragic indeed. I cant help myself but cry watching it. 2nd ep, i managed to control myself (hehe), and only let tears to form and dry as quickly. Fortunately, it seems like all the sad scenes of flashbacks dah xde, and the next ep will reveal how the main cast Saifullah will build the INSTITUT GEMILANG. 

Honestly, this drama is very unique indeed. I'm bored of malay dramas that always revolve around the same issue : company issues, rich and greedy people trying to steal each others wealth, cinta antara 2 darjat etc:. We hardly find drama like Gemilang, about a fresh graduate who has high ambition and great vision for the future. He chose to be an educator because he hope he can change the world to the better through his students.

According to the Director, Kabir Bhatia, the story is based on a true story about his deceased father in law ( Mira Mustaffa dad,who is also the writer). Shah Jazle is playing the role but with a different name, Cikgu Saifullah. Saifullah is a very intelligent boy and comes from a family of poverty.At the start of the story,  his mother died when giving birth to their fourth child. His father then decided to give away the children to foster families and later he died from an accident. Saifullah was taken into a rich family but he never forget his roots.

After he finishes his study at University Malaya, he works in a bank but his heart is not at peace. That is when he decided to go back to his village an open an institute called Institut Gemilang. the school is aimed to give students who failed their exams a second chance. However, the future of Institut Gemilang is yet pitch black. Everything is still uncertain and full of conflicts between friends and lovers. Stay tune to find out! it is only 13 episodes! so, come and follow!

Syazwan and Fazlina Wedding Video

Congratulations to Yeop n Fazz for their wedding. All went well, total GRANDE! The shade of grey/silver suited you guys pretty well. Here's a video of the wedding, that i captured and edited myself. The video is taken using my lovely Sanyo HD2000.





Seriously, i had a terrible and hard time editing this video. First, i usually convert the videos i captured to .avi coz the original format is .mp4 which is very large. However, this time, when i converted the videos, all tend to b very jaggy and rough around the edges. I didn't know what causes this. After several trials and errors, i gave up on the video. Then last night, when i had nothing else to do and was pretty bored, i started editing the video again. This time, i didnt convert the videos, hence let it remain .mp4 in format. After i align all the clips that i want in my editing software, i did got a bit heavy for my laptop to hold. Playing the clips to see the outcome was almost impossible coz it keep jumping and not playing smoothly. It really tested my patience. In the end, i pasrah n redha of the "outcome-to-be" and just click 'render' so finish up the video. Thus, the video!

p.s: i really need to work on  my camera stabilizing technique. especially when i zoom in. or, get a steady-cam!

not bad. not bad at all. i remembered, when the video was 3 days old in utube, the video da cecah like thousands of view. heehee..

Kalau tau la sebegini banyak attention the video was gonna get, aku buat berkualiti sket. haha.. ini just kitorg 4 org terkinja-kinja (ayat arwah uwan aku would use if she sees the video) je depan camera. haha.

Banyak gak yg like the video. And ade jugak a few yang mcm xberapa nak suke kan. But, what the heyyyy~~ saya xmampu nak puaskan hati semua org. Besides, i did this video for fun dan tidak mengganggu hidup orang laen.

Out of 3267 people yang share the vid, only one is my mutual friend, Hazwani Harun. And this girl pon, we just knew each other recently and it was because of the video. And she even wrote about me in her blog. Thank you pumpkin. I appreciate ur effort figuring out who me n my frens were.

Rumour is going round that Maths will be taught in MALAY starting this semester!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and i was like... WHAT THE FAFISH FROGGISH FOSTRICH is all this man????? we have been taught in English, and English shall we remain! Hell with they threw away the PPSMI majiggi, that has nothing to do with tertiary level. I repeat, tertiary level education!

Kenapa nak susahkan orang? It's not that i'm choosing English over our national language,i love malay, i really do, but just think about it man. All this while, kami belajar in English. Memang culture shock gile la klu tetibe tuka. 2nd, most references, and by most i mean over 70% of references are in ENGLISH! mana ko nak carik reference in Malay wehh? PIKIR LA WEHH! 3rd, by this, it would be even harder for us to do the assignments! DAMN!!! 4th, Exam pon in Malay? Damn u! Dah la mathematical terms when translate to Malay, jadi macam TAIKKKK!! Lagi saket otak cube nak faham what the term means taw in Malay. It is better in English. seriously. Example, what is "JANJANG aritmetik'?? but, if u say "arithmetic PROGESSION", then "ooooooooo, progression rupenyeeeeeeeee..cakapla awal2." See??seee?seeeeeeeeeeeeee?????

Hampeh la kalu rumour ni true!!!!! Mati la weh.. it would be the end of everything!!!!!!
