A WEEK IN KERATONG

So far, PBS kali ni is the best one ever... n ever soooo TIRING!!! everyday full of activity! first time kot tinggalkan kenangan mural dekat sekolah..best sangat2.. xtau cmne nak ckp in sentences.. THANK YOU SK BUKIT SEROK for having me! huhu...

MONDAY (8.3.10):
it was the perhimpunan rasmi day.. n we had to introduce ourself. i was the last one to introduce.. the students looked so puzzled when i said "salam 1 malaysia".... haha..
after the assembly, we met with the GB.. He introduced us with our mentor, Puan Sabariah. she had been a great help while we were there.
about 12.15p.m we entered an English class to observed how the teacher teach. We entered a year4 class and the teacher was Mr Zainal. The students are very3 weak.. i mean, VERY! teachers yang ajar dekat class tuh have to have patience yang sgt tinggi! u teach them a new word, xsampai 3minit, mereka da lupe dahh...there ares till those who cant read and write. they are going to take the UPSR in 2 years time, n they are still weak in 3M. There's not much the teachers can do.. They can't even to BM correctly. Some just dont even recognize letters. they just write down what they see on the board. They will keep rubbing off what they write until the outcome is the same as what is on the board.. And they are very lurus bendul. Teacher needs to give very detailed instruction for the students to follow. tak tau nak describe macammana... tapi sangat kesian when i look at them.

TUESDAY (9.3.10):

Entered a moral class to observed the teacher. maybe this is the first time the teacher did a set induction, coz the  students seem so unfamiliar with the role play activity. they were sooo shy..
After the class, helped Alina with her PJ assignments.. ukur2 budak2 kecik... susahnye handle bebudak kecik yang kurang listening skills.. but they are fun to work with. i taught them songs.. huhu.. and they really love songs. . the boys were a bit naughty..but aren't all boys are like that?.. what else did i do that day? i cant remember... oh yeah, about 11am we went to the open hall to listen to gotong royong taklimat which will be held on wednesday. the four of us kene jage kelas..ouch!


WEDNESDAY (10.3.10):
7.45 am: tunas KRS. En Fadizal kate nak bagi kami aktiviti untuk dibuat dengan budak2 tuh, tapi sampai ke sudah, xde bagi pape pon. So, kami pon pepandai sendiri leee.... So, we took them to the EteMs room, and asked them to sing the KRS song.. only 2-3 students know the song. So for the whole hour, we teach them to sing the song. I wrote the lyrics on the board, and the students copied. Disebabkan dorang ni slow, so it tooked a while. Tak kisahlah, janji dapat habeskan in one hour.
around 9am: i went to 4B class, nak kumpulkan murid2 coz nak bawak g bilik kesihatan untuk diukur. took me about 15minutes to gather all of them. susah betol! then, smp kat bilik kesihatan, dorang ni xreti dok diam! da la aku n ekin je jaga, before this, 4orang tapi alina n mas ade keje lain they have to do, so tinggal aku n ekin... sgt susah!!! dorang jenis xmakan saman... sesuka hati kua bilik, jalan sana, jalan sini, buat kawan seniri nangis...aku abes ukur 23 students around 11 lebey... penat giler...
then i have to take them back to class and look after them till 1.15 coz cikgu2 dia tgh gotong royong with parents bersihkan kawasan sekolah.. penat wehh jaga dorang.. their english teacher gave them work to do. Their work was just copy what ekin wrote on the bpard. sounds simple, tapi mampu buat ekin pening menjaga mereka.. hahaha.. kesian ekin.. aku xlarat nak layan, so aku g kelas sebelah, 4A. this is the clever class. jurang IQ between these classes sgt besar. in 4A, semua can read and write, and they understand english. But, even they are clever, if they go to town schools, their level are not more than a Year 3 student. Tapi xkisahlah.. janji aku senang nak bekeje dgn dorang. So we played a game of HANGMAN, everyone enjoyed it. So everything went well..

THURSDAY (11.3.10)
Hari yang dinanti-nantikan... Hari we present our ABM to the teachers. First up was Ekin n Alina with the Year 2A students. Everything went well, but like i said, these kids are lack of listening skills. They follow the instuction but not fully, they love to play, but didnt know what they were playing. Then we took a 30min break and it was me and Mas' turn with the year 1A students. our game was based on basic addition. simple.. we played the game, everybody enjoyed it, the teachers even fascinated by the cards that we made. They were wandering what the cards we made of because magnets are attracted to them. Hohohoho.. i'm soooo proud.
Around 11, we went to the wall that Puan Sabariah appointed to us. Our task: buat mural! nasib baik sikit je yang kene dibuat.. the title was "ukuran panjang", and there were only 4formulas. glad! pagi tuh =, kami just lakar je kat dinding, n around 4.30pm, we went to skool,to paint the mural. 6.30, sume siap!

FRIDAY (12.3.10):
Sambutan Maulidur Rasul!!!! relaxx~~~~~ pagi berarak skett... i took some video.. then sume bekumpul dekat open hall, n ade sedikit ceramah... ok laaahhh....

Overall, fun PBS! great experience! terasa cabaran guru di pedalaman... huhuhu... tp i liked it! rase macam nak posting kat pedalaman je nanti... huhuhu
